The Best Beaches in Mallorca – Recommended by a Local

As a 24-year-old traveler used to stunning landscapes, I never expected to find beaches as breathtaking as the ones in Mallorca. This Balearic island is rich in culture, history, and natural beauty—which is why I want to share what I consider to be the very best beaches Mallorca has to offer.

Beaches for Every Kind of Traveler

Mallorca is an incredibly diverse island, and that’s especially true when it comes to its beaches.

In the south, Es Trenc is probably the most famous. It’s a natural beach with no major developments, featuring white sand and crystal-clear waters that could easily be mistaken for the Caribbean. It’s perfect if you're after a peaceful, authentic experience with postcard-worthy views.

Head north between Can Picafort and Alcúdia, and you’ll find Playa de Muro—a long, family-friendly beach with all the amenities you might need. Whether you’re traveling with kids or just want convenience without giving up natural beauty, this beach is a great pick.

I also highly recommend Port de Pollença, a laid-back, artistic beach town framed by mountains that give it a unique charm. It’s ideal for those who prefer a more relaxed and scenic environment.

For something more untouched, Son Serra de Marina is a true hidden gem. With no hotels and hardly any crowds, it offers a wild, natural setting that’s especially popular with surfers and outdoor lovers.

If you’re staying near Palma and looking for urban beaches that still feel special, check out Palmanova, Molinar, and Ciudad Jardín. They’re well connected, easy to get to, and offer all the essentials—perfect for a quick beach break.

And if you're in the mood for a more upscale experience, Camp de Mar in Andratx combines elegance with natural beauty, offering a more refined atmosphere without losing its island charm.

Without a doubt, these are the beaches in Mallorca you don’t want to miss.

Final Thoughts

There’s something truly magical about Mallorca, and its beaches are a big part of what makes it so special. From secluded coves to full-service beach resorts, there’s something here for every kind of traveler.

If you’re thinking about a beach getaway surrounded by unforgettable scenery, don’t hesitate to explore what I believe are Mallorca’s most amazing beaches.
